Adoptable dogs of the month

Roses are red, violets are blue, Oso and Princess are the pups for you.
They’re playful and friendly and good with everyone,
But came to the shelter because their owner would let them run.
They take treats gently and do well on a leash.
They even appear housebroken so your yard will be their release.
They’d like a new family, one to call their own,
Where they can play and be loved on and chew on a bone.

  • Princess is approximately 3 years old
  • Oso is approximately 4 years old
  • Believed to be Rottweiler mixes
  • Came in together and would love to be adopted together but can also be adopted separately
  • Owner surrender because the owner let them run freely in the neighborhood and had too many dogs
  • They are possibly housebroken, but like any shelter pet may need to be re-trained
  • They walk on leash very well and stay by your side
  • Princess is more mellow and calm but will play when initiated
  • Oso is the more playful one but also can be calm
  • They take treats gently
  • Princess is very smart and would do well with training
  • They make growling noises when they play with each other, but it is just the way they play
  • Good with men, women, and kids
  • Not sure about cats and babies
  • Have lived with other dogs and have done well in play groups at the shelter, but proper introduction with new dogs is important
  • Afraid of thunder and fireworks
  • Both Heartworm positive; but with several treatment options available, they can become heartworm negative
  • Both are fixed and up to date on vaccines
