The Difference
About America’s ER & Urgent Care
America’s ER Medical Centers are wholly focused on providing superior and convenient medical care with amazing customer service. That’s why we go above and beyond to supply our Medical Centers with state-of-the-art equipment, hire only the best ER board-certified doctors, experienced nurses and staff, and work hard to become a meaningful part of the community. We want to earn your trust and loyalty. And that’s why who we are is really all about YOU.
The New Standard
When you or a loved one is sick or injured, you want only the best medical care possible—and fast. You want access to the most advanced equipment and well-trained physicians and staff with the experience to handle any emergency quickly and compassionately.
The reality is that clinical capabilities, access to advanced equipment, and the experience and training of physicians and staff vary widely among emergency departments, especially freestanding ERs. While there are minimum standards all emergency rooms must meet to become licensed, why settle for the minimum when America’s ER Medical Centers offers so much more?
As one of the state’s most clinically advanced freestanding emergency rooms*, America’s ER Medical Centers goes above and beyond to ensure our patients receive unparalleled medical care and amazing customer service with little to no wait. With access to cutting-edge medical and diagnostic equipment, state-of-the-art Medical Centers and staffing typically available only in the best hospital-based emergency rooms, the choice is clear.
*This is a reference to the new freestanding emergency room leveling classification system recently developed in 2016 and adopted by GETAC (Governor’s EMS & Trauma Advisory Council) and distributed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Leveling is based on each individual facility clinical capabilities (privately owned or owned by a hospital), attending physician ER board certification status, Nurse trauma certification status, additional clinical staff available on site 24/7, available in-house diagnostic and treatment medical equipment such as advanced airway, resuscitation stabilization devices and other equipment not required for licensure and accessibility to trauma, cardiac and stroke centers.
Classification as follows
Only the most clinically capable and advanced freestanding emergency rooms can claim Level 1 status. We are proud to say America’s ER Medical Centers are currently striving to meet Level 1 criteria and in doing so will join a select few freestanding emergency rooms across the entire state to offer such advanced clinical capabilities outside of the traditional hospital-based emergency room setting.

YOU AND YOUR FAMILY DESERVE THE BEST
The Best Of Both Worlds
With so many healthcare choices these days, knowing where to turn for trusted and timely medical care when you or a loved one is injured or sick can be confusing—especially after hours. An ER? Urgent care? How are they different? Can they handle my condition? And unlike emergency rooms, our 24-hour urgent care center always bills at urgent care rates.
THE BEST OPTION
Will I be treated in the ER or urgent care center?
Based on a patient’s symptoms, vital signs and physical examination, the attending ER board certified physician determines if the emergency room or urgent care center is the most appropriate department for your treatment.
Our hybrid model not only offers patients the full spectrum of urgent and emergency care in one convenient location but also bills patients according to the department in which treatment is provided.
THE REFERRAL NETWORK
The Importance of Continuity
Studies have repeatedly demonstrated continuity of care is as vital to a patient’s medical condition and recovery as the type of care initially received. Increased patient satisfaction, fewer diagnostic tests, reduced radiation exposure, less medication use, improved overall outcomes and especially reduced cost of care are all direct results of careful and deliberate communication between providers as patients transition between stages of medical care. In fact, continuity of care has even been shown to reduce the number of emergency room visits and shorten hospital stays.
At America’s ER Medical Centers, we know quick, timely follow-up is just as important as the care received in our Medical Centers. That’s why America’s ER Medical Centers has teamed up with local primary, pediatric and sub-specialty physicians as well as leading adult and pediatric hospitals who not only share our patient-centric values, but practice them as well. With most follow-up appointments confirmed within 72 hours and often the same day as discharge, not only is your health is our number one concern, but we also know the only schedule that really matters is yours.
